generations.Role SummaryThe Diagnostic Specialist Regional Manager
role is first and foremost responsible for serving the needs of the
team, the region, our cross-functional partners as well as the
individual members of the team. Utilizing the leadership skills
that have been honed through years of working closely with
individuals and teams, coupled with the tools of management, the DS
regional manager will recognize areas of opportunity, communicate
effectively, and respond responsibly to the support needs of the
cross-functional collaboration between the Diagnostic Specialist
Team, its members, and partners. Fundamental to this is that we
shall never lose sight of the impact to the Rivian Owners that our
business partners serve. In this role, the Diagnostic Specialist
Regional Manager will travel with an appropriate frequency every
quarter determined to be functionally important for building,
growing, and maintaining individual, regional and business partner
relationships. The Diagnostic Specialist team operates with a
strong sense of individual self-management, focused on delivering
above our high standards of quality. The Diagnostic Specialist
Regional Manager role is intended to complement this aspect of the
team dynamic through conscientious support.Responsibilities
- Support, Guide and Manage a team of location-based Diagnostic
Specialists within the designated regional territory.
- Travel regularly for onsite engagements, check-ins, and
specialized support needs.
- Provide cross-functional and cross-collaborative support as
needed in parallel with partnered regions.
- Build and support a well-qualified team of Diagnostic
Specialists Business Partners focused on support of Rivian's
Service Operations.
- Serve your team both as a Business Partner and Liaison between
the location-based Diagnostic Specialist and the Field Service
Operations Management partners.
- Help your team of Diagnostic Specialists build, support and/or
maintain diagnostic best practices, processes, tools, and
resources.
- Support a "Customer Centric" view in team and cross-functional
collaborations.
- Collaborate on improving the customer experience through
decreasing complications in the diagnostic to repair process.
- Help maintain a culture of responsibility and accountability
through the clear setting of goals and expectations.
- Develop sustainable team culture and positive work environment
to maximize team member retention.
- Develop team member skills through coaching, training and
mentorship.
- Support, coach and mentor Team expectations of excellence in
routine documentation, reporting and effective communication.
- Build, support, and maintain excellent cross-functional team
relations.
- Encourage and support ALL Service Diagnostic feedback, enabling
RIVIAN to build and improve upon high quality Diagnostic Support
expectations.
- Provide input that supports our internal data analytic team
with desired data structures to help support, maintain and grow the
measures of quality that are in our core values.Qualifications
- 5+ years management / leadership experience of teams, with an
emphasis on Technical Support.
- 5+ years business partnership experience working closely with
cross-functional teams and stakeholders in a technology focused
environment.
- 5+ years of career experience in automotive engineering or
automotive diagnostics.
- Travel requirements are estimated at 40% but can vary by region
and by quarter.
- Experience with diagnostic strategy and process development,
documentation, as well as appropriate and effective content
distribution.
- A "Continuous Improvement" mindset with a strong and consistent
ability to "Zoom Out" and "Ask Why".
- Broad experience defining, launching, and driving strategic
process design initiatives to establish and improve internal and
external processes and operations.
- A demonstrated ability to understand, document, and transform
complex processes for business partners operating at different
levels.
- Experience identifying opportunities and promoting the
development of training programs and resources is a plus.
- Appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to
work effectively with internal and external partners.
- Experience in a startup environment and while scaling teams is
a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Engaging and Approachable demeanor, Self-Motivated, and
aligning with an internal compass that points towards excellence
and positive outcomes.
