Inova is seeking a full-time Cardiology RN Outpatient for our Mount
Vernon location.Our world-class physicians provide high-quality

diagnostic procedures and treatments. Inova Cardiology physicians
create customized care plans for each patient's unique needs to
deliver highly personalized care to help you achieve improved heart
and overall health.As part of Inova's vast network of specialists
and with offices throughout Northern Virginia, Inova cardiologists
offer seamless access to all five Inova hospitals and convenient
connectivity to Inova Heart and Vascular Institute and its
internationally recognized services.Schedule: Monday through
Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. NO weekends, NO Holidays.Job
Responsibilities for the Cardiology Nurse include:• Patient
education Answering patient questions pre- and post-surgery•
Coordinating patient readiness and care throughout the clinic•
Stress Testing (Regular, Echo and Nuclear)• Helping patients manage
INR• Oversee clinical workflow and work collaboratively with team
This is a fast-paced service line and part of a growing practice.
Inova Cardiology is a team of board-certified Physicians and
Surgeons, Nurse Practitioners, RNs and LPNs and MAs dedicated to
bringing compassionate, comprehensive clinical care to our
patients.
As an Outpatient Registered Nurse, you will provide
safe/therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way in a
physician practice or other outpatient setting. To help achieve our
mission, you will incorporate differences into the provision of
care while integrating knowledge, skills and experiences to meet
the needs of patients and families to include patient and family
education. Your ability to communicate effectively and work
cooperatively with others while having respect for and an
understanding of other clinical disciplines is essential. Using an
integrated approach toward achieving desired patient outcomes while
utilizing standards, guidelines and pathways for care delivery is
of vital importance. Incorporating data and information to improve
care and enhance outcomes while ensuring improvements in practice
settings, by assuming responsibility for self-development in
lifelong learning, is expected. Your ability to provide direction
and guidance to others regarding practice while serving as a
resource, preceptor and mentor is required.
Requirements:Experience: 0 years of registered nurse clinical
experience. Greater than one year of RN experience in addition to
prior Cardiology Nursing background such as in IMCU, PCU, Tele,
CVICU is preferred.Education: BSN from an accredited school of
nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN
within 24 months of start date.Certification: BLS and ACLS for
Healthcare Provider Certification requiredLicensure: RN licensed,
or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a
