Job Description:
Seattle University College of Nursing invites applications for
part-time adjunct faculty to teach at the undergraduate through DNP
levels. Applications are accepted throughout the year, with
openings available in a variety of specialties. -
We seek outstanding nurses with at least one year of experience in
their specialties to teach clinically in the following areas:
medical-surgical nursing; obstetrical nursing; pediatric nursing;
psychiatric/mental health nursing; and geriatric nursing. -In
addition, we welcome applicants with advanced practice
certification and two years of clinical experience to teach
graduate students in Care systems leadership, midwifery and several
nurse practitioner tracks: Family, Adult-Gerontology (Acute and
Primary Care), and Family Psychiatric Mental Health. Candidates

specialty and site, clinical courses are taught from one to two
days a week; eight hour or twelve-hour shifts; days, evenings, or
nights; weekdays or weekends; and in a variety of clinical sites
throughout King, Snohomish, and Pierce counties. Pay scale is based
upon level of education. Qualifications A master's degree plus one
year of clinical experience is preferred for faculty teaching at
the undergraduate level. Applicants should hold an unencumbered
license in Washington State as a Registered Nurse. Advanced
practice faculty must also hold WA State licensure as an Advanced
Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) and have at least two years of
clinical experience. Compensation at a Glance:
Salary Range: $1,020 - $1,425 per work unit
Seattle University has provided a compensation range that
represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay
for the position at the time of posting. The salary offered to the
selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the
qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget
availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available
market information, and not based on a candidate's gender or any
