Serves as a steward of the business in supporting data validation, controls, protection and monitoring to help ensure data integrity and compliance with applicable regulations. Also serves as a liaison with the business to ensure that data is collected, stored, shared, protected, and transmitted in a manner consistent with corporate standards. Seeks out program, process and technological improvements and innovations. Proactively addresses potential data issues by working to minimize ambiguity, establishing clear accountabilities and disseminating data related information and procedures to all data stakeholders. Leads by applying both subject matter knowledge and data management expertise in the enhancement of current data integrity assurance processes, the design of an effective overall data architecture, the organization and definition of all key data elements and the institution of data analytics as a core competency for better understanding and positioning the business for success.Responsibilities

  • Understand, describe, rationalize, protect, organize, manage and provide access to all current Fulton Financial Corporation data.
  • Develop and continuously enhance a strategy and architectural objective for collecting, storing, accessing and controlling data.
  • Develop and maintain data standards, guidelines, rules, and procedures to support the strategy, architecture and commitments to regulatory compliance.
  • Migrate existing data structures, systems, procedures and processes to an overall design that supports the new data management objectives.
  • Support both the everyday needs of data processing, inquiry and reporting and the more sophisticated and creative use of data to provide important business insights and useful general management information.
  • Work with the business to understand their information based needs and to align the capabilities of data management to support those needs.
  • Maintain current knowledge of both new technologies and new data demands of the business. Leverage both forms of knowledge to protect the interests of the business, provide useful operational metrics, efficiently address compliance requirements and help satisfy new customer needs.
  • Support the investigation of data issues, data repair, data protection, designs for new systems and research into new uses of available data to support the enterprise.
  • Responsible for the creation and leadership of business oriented, yet highly technical, team of experts in data management, business intelligence and analytics. This team is responsible for the transformation of the overall data ecosystem to a condition of reliable values, processing integrity and analytical accessibility.QualificationsRequired Education
    • Bachelor Degree or the equivalent experience. Specialty: Data Management, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related.
    • Master Degree or the equivalent experience. Specialty: Data Management, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related.Required Experience
      • 10 or more years deep technical experience in data development, data operations, data strategy, data governance, data architecture.
      • 10 or more years IT experience.
      • 5 or more years technical and strategic resource management.
      • 5 or more years Data Analytics, Visualization, AI and ML.
      • 5 or more years banking experience and/or bank consulting experience.Other Duties as Assigned by ManagerThis role may perform other job duties as assigned by the manager. This includes but is not limited to, understanding and identifying compliance risks impacting their department(s), ensuring compliance with applicable laws or regulations, and escalating compliance risks to the appropriate level of management.Pay TransparencyTo provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base salary ranges on all job postings regardless of state. We set standard salary ranges for our roles based on the position, function, and responsibilities, as benchmarked against similarly sized companies in our industry. Specific compensation offered will be determined based on a combination of factors including the candidate's knowledge, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials. The salary range may vary based on geographic location.The salary range for this position is $175,000.00 - $291,700.00 annually. Additional Compensation Components This job is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units.
